Take off bumpstops?

Ok in my 2000 I just purchased new rear Bilstein shocks. When i'm by myself I can tell a huge difference in the bumps and dips, but when I take people hardly gives over the bumps. So what i'm thinking it's the bumpstops because they are very close on hitting the bottom so this provides very little up travel in the shocks. So do you think I should take the bumpstops off? Or would that make it start bouncing? I think I might take them off and get some airbags.

Is it lowered or some $hit? I never had problems when I was running stock and hauling people and cargo. Maybe your springs are shot. Lots of rear sag? Just toss in new springs and done. Read- http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/48552-about-rear-sag.html

The reason for the bump stop is so you don't bottom out the shock and bend it, or worse. Leave them on!!

If for some reason you are sitting on the bump stops with weight in the truck then, as mentioned above, you may want to consider new springs.

It's 50 bucks for new springs, it's the right thing. No disappointment will be necessary
