Hello,

I'm about to take a cross country trip in my 95 runner. What should I have done to my truck before I leave? I'm also having some tranny trouble, but can't afford to replace or rebulid it. Any suggestions on some kind of temporary tranny fix? Thanks.

Wow, I hate to state the obvious, but you might be asking trouble if you're going to drive across the country with transmission problems.

3K in a Week

I took a family vacation up to Glacier and Bozeman in my 95 4R. I had the tires and brakes checked out, rotating the best tires to the front. Did the usual oil and lube, plus plugs and a tune up. Truck behaved well, but was a bear driving up 3 to 7% grades with small weight load. Ended up driving 3K in a week.

If you go without taking care of recognized troubles, have a backup plan, AAA, water, space blankets,...etc

What is "some tranny trouble"?

I agree I would not be going across country on a bad tranny.
