Taking dash out to plug adapter to Headunit? Hard???

Who has installed a head unit in a 3rd gen? Help please!

Well I've decided I might try to plug in my adapter for my ipod myself. I ahve a pioneer headunit, and the rb10 adapter. Would you suggest me trying this or no? Dont I have to take the entire dash out? Is it difficult? Is all it is just plugging it into the cd changer output and thats it? Installers want like 40 bucks to do it.

Assuming it goes together just like my 96, it is relatively easy. Just be careful not to scratch up the trim when you pry loose the panel where the air conditioner controls are. The rest is a snap together job. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the adapter though, so I can't be of any help in that field.

well im pretty sure the adapter is plug (ip bus) and play. (right)

So the dis/assembly is just time consuming? Thats kind of what I fugured.

Anyone have any first hand experience?

Nahhh, to be honest I can take the dash apart in less than a minute. But then again I've probably done it 50 times in that truck. There are only two screws in the entire dash disassembly, both of which are located behind the A/C controls.

Well for the professional installers here, they said it would probably take around an hour or so. So for me that means a couple. lol. I heard I have to take the entire dash off? True? Will it be pretty self explanatory along the way, ie.) I'll know what screws and such to take out? Im kinda hesitant, but wanna save the $$.
