Tall & heavy Rear Spring options (4th gen)

Anybody know if there are any other coil thats taller than the allpro 3.5" lift coils. Looking to have a bit more lift as I think mine has sagged down over the years. Would the 5th gen OME coils fit or lift higher on 4th gens?

you could always check out a few places online that make custom coil springs. You pick the diameter, length and coil rate and they make it to your spec. I was considering ordering some at one point, I think I was quoted around $200 to my door.

Thats not too bad in pricing. I'd have to figure out the length vs spring rate vs lift however.

Do the overland/icon fit? Not sure why they wouldn't. I've got them on my gx. Should look at those

Do the 5th gen coils fit? I know spacers fit as my daystars are for 5th gens. OME 898 or 899 are what Im looking at if they do fit but its only 3" @ (4-800lb loads) which should suffice.

Not sure if these will fit the bill or not, but Metal Tech's 3" HD Spring has been great. I've had them ~1.5 years and absolutely no sag... In fact, they're just starting to get so they're not too still if you're unloaded. If they're just not tall enough, the spring rates provided by metal tech should give you a good "starting point".

I'd second the MT HD coils for their long travel rear setup. However, if you run weight in the back (drawers, fridge, or metal bumper) they will give you more like 2 or 2.5" lift (depending on added weight). I have some custom rear springs from Coil Spring Specialties, designed for 4" of lift on a 4th Gen with 900 pounds extra weight (over stock) that I was going to list in the classified section. We had a kid and wife was not happy getting him into car seat with 4". Too many inches, is what she said.

We had a kid and wife was not happy getting him into car seat with 4". Too many inches, is what she said.

What is the spring rate and specs on em? Looks like it might my needs.

I looked into Metaltech coils a while back, I don't think itll suit the weight & lift that I'm looking for.

Back in my Runner days I ran the HD OME 3 inchers with the addition of a cut down Daystar coil (on top). Gave me about 4 inches of lift. Oh yea I had air bags as well but they did not provide lift just ultra support for when the KTM was hanging off the back.

So yes you can run a lift spring and custom spacer.
She was so jacked up in the back - loved it!

Oh yea, still got the tail gate if anyone want it - $100 pick up only. Powdercoated custom fits in receiver hitch zero rust. I'll even throw in the wood.

Rough Country's 6" FJ lift uses longer coils in the back. You could contact them and inquire about buying just the coils. They are 220# spring rate.
