Tall man

I'm a tall fella. I'm not a giant, but I'm at 6'1.

We love EVERYTHING about this car, and it fits my wife very well as her daily-driver. It's a great tow vehicle, too!

The only problem I have with the car is how LOW the roof line is. If I sit for maximum comfort, I have a very small view through the windshield in front of me.

I do what I can to lower the seat, tilt the recline, and pull the seat slightly forward. It improves the view, but it's not comfortable for long distances.

The reason we didn't go with a sunroof is because the roof woulda been even lower, and allow hardly ANY headroom for me!

Okay, so, since I'm not circus-freak tall, I can't be the ONLY guy who's had this problem. How have you adjusted?

I am 6'2, all torso, so I sit pretty high in the seat and I have no problem whatsoever. I even keep the seat adjusted pretty high up without too much recline and its perfect.

Like you, I opted for no sunroof though.

Maybe I am just used to it...?
 
I'm 6'1" mostly legs and I don't feel uncomfortable in my 4R. I do have the sunroof and I don't have any problems.
 
I am 6'4" and I fit in the 3rd generation model, no sun roof. I have to bend down to see a stop light, because of the windshield.

I have sat in the 4th generation and it is fine, as long as I don't have the sunroof. I have been looking at a few cars for my next car and I can sit in a 2009 Subaru Forester with a big moon roof. I don't know how they did it, but it is the only car I have sat in with a sun roof that fits my hieght.
 
6'1" (32" inseam jeans) and I fit fine in the 4Runner. I have a moonroof and occassionally my hair will graze the ceiling, but I haven't hit it against bumps and what not.

My seat isn't all the way back, but the rear is lowered all the way and the front is raised about half way for thigh support. I know adjusting the lumbar here and there has done wonders for me.

Here's how my current seats are adjusted.

6'2" , long legs , no problem here even with sunroof.

My dad is 6'11" .............. thats another story:D

A California warning/dislaimer that the product contains materials and things known to the State of CA to cause cancer, birth defects, etc. I'm lazy... so it stays, doesn't bother me.

You've got to be kidding! I've seen that warning in small print or in the back of manuals for lots of articles that get imported here (we just ignore it) but to put it on a label right there? Give me a break. I thought the whole eco-freako movement started in Oregon? Didn't they consider the damage to the enviroment of disposing of all those peeled off labels when they mandate b*llsh*t like that? Do you also get a label that reads "Potentially can cause death from impact when driven by a moron..."?

I am 6'1" w/ a 32-33" inseam. I just fit. Given no restrictions I might have a GX:D

If I ordered one I would opt for no sunroof and that would be enough to make it great.

The only issue I have is the traffic light problem, If I am first in line I can't see the light without ducking down...

I'm 6'1 and have the same problem. I have the sunroof and I have to recline a bit to not have my head on the roof. Getting in an accident concerns me as I'm afraid my head would smash into the roof where the sun roof seam is. It's not unbearable so I'll deal with it! :) It is strange that my Prius has A LOT more head room inside though.

Well.... open the sunroof, stack some phone books underneath yourself and drive with your head outside the sunroof. Just invest in a motorcycle helmet for the cold days. :)

x2. Ive never had a problem.... though I notice at stop lights if im first in line the light is sometimes hard to view without stooping down to see it....
 
In the land of the giants....

I'm 5'6", and often times feel too small for my 4Runner.

Hey, those of you with the Limited seats...how the heck do you guys deal with the slippery seats? I've been contemplating getting seat covers, which honestly I hate to do because of the side impact air bags. I hate having to keep a foot planted on the floor to keep me from slipping right out of the seat.

I'd love to figure out how to make just the seat part a suede...that would work. Like the Urban Runner seats.

My Mom rode with me the other day, 5'2". And even she complained of the slippery seats.
