TATO Harness

Help? I have an '03 4Runner with the factory JBL system. Installed the Pioneer Premier FH-P800BT head unit along with the TATO Amp Integration Harness about 6 mos. ago. Although I had some occasional fader issues, the system worked well. Except for a faint sound coming from the sub I installed, I lost sound completely from the other speakers about a mo. ago. I adjusted the gain on the TATO and retrieved sound for a few weeks but lost it again. Has anyone encountered this problem and if so, is there a permanent solution or will I have to keep readjusting the gain ever time I lose sound. Very frustrating considering this harness, by standards, is not cheap. Thanks,

im assuming you had to pull out all the wiring to get back to the harness and adjust the gain. maybe you just have a loose connection and you only regained sound because you moved the wiring around. might be worth checking

Similar problem with Scotche, but easy fixed by setting the fader in middle range instead all the way back with JBL system for me.

I had the same HU in my '02. Make sure that you're not setting any of the high pass and low pass filters to the on position. You want the full range to go to the JBL processor.

I had the F90BT in my former 03 with JBL, either you have a loss wire or if it is a low level hiss, ground the RCA plug, just wrap a wire around the metal outside part and put some electrical tape and then ground to one of the 4 radio mounts.
