Taupe Vs. Stone

Quick question for those of you out there with the taupe interior.... Does it get dirty really easily? If so those of you with the stone do you feel as though it gets dirty easily? Thanks a million for dealing with all my questions I am just trying to build my perfect runner, I have wanted one for years!

I have taupe in my Sienna...at least in the Sienna, i prefer the lighter color over stone.

Well, I have the taupe on a blue 07. I think it complements the blue exterior perfectly. As far as dirtyness, I've always found that carpet is carpet. They all look dirty about the same, but lighter colors show stains a bit more.

For that issue, and the fact that I KNEW I would track mud and dirt in all the time, I bought the weathertech liners (see the weather tech thread). I got the taupe version of the liners, and its a close match to the interior. I can take them out in a few seconds and put back the old mats if I want it to look stock/original.

For me, the mats were a requirement no matter what color I got.

So personally, I would go with whatever color you like best with the exterior. Then get some sort of interior all weather mats (weathertechs for me, you might like otherwise). Otherwise, you will wish you had gotten the color of your choice (especially if end up getting mats anyways).

But, you've got the first part right anyways, your getting a 4Runner. Don't worry so much about the rest.

Stone fabric is easy to keep clean because it doesn't show wear easily.

I prefer stone/gray. NOT a big fan of tan tones. Just my preference. However, Keeping the stone interior clean is no different than any other interior IMHO.

I have stone with Husky Liners, don't notice it getting any dirtier than any non black interior. The two colors are very similar and I've asked other members here for pictures as well when I was purchasing mine.

i have stone leather and it keeps clean rather nicely. in the summer months i ride alot without a shirt and the windows down, so even with some sweat they dont get bad. given ,im not a heavy sweater, but even with the dog inside from time to time the leather cleans up real nice.
we are talkoing about leather right?

I have the tan (don't remember which color it is called) with my white T4R. I looked pretty hard to find it. As for wear, after about 45,000 miles with kids it looks like new. I had a couple of nasty spills on the back seat and took it to a detailer and he cleaned it with this really smelly stuff in about a minute. Looks like nothing ever happened and it aired out in less than a day. As for why I chose the color, the dark gray is almost black and, in my opinion, it just didnt have any pizzaz. It made the interior look dull and monochomatic. I like the contrast with the black on the doors and the dash combined with the tan a bit lower all around. To each there own, I jsut think the tan looks much better.
