TCS OFF light on all the time

So today I took the scan gauge out of my I35 and put it into the 4runner to see what mileage I was getting on a little road trip we were going on.

This is the scan gauge

it plugs in tge obd2 port and is compatible with every ob2 port equipped car.

Anyway I turn on the car and start rolling and the scan guage is workign fine but I nitce now the TCS off light and the other amber light under it was off which was also like TRAC something. As well as the abs light was on.. So I shut the car off and unlug the scan gauge. I turn the car back on and the lights ar off. I'm like phew, I pu the car in drive and the trac and TCS light come back on immediatly the second the car starts rolling. I try shutting it off and turning it on again and same thing. We take the trip anyway as the car is still going into 4wd low and the center diff is still locking ect and the car doesnt feel like its in limp mode or anything. When I get here I disconnected the battery and reconnected it, that still didnt help.

I dont know what the hell happened the car was fine before hand.

its an 03 V8

So can I use a scan gauge with this thing at all without tripping lights?

I honestly don't know... Some guys use them but I don't know what model year they're running it on. IIRC, from the linked post, there's some minor difference in CAN protocol so I suspect it's about the software verision in the Scangauge. Maybe Scangauge could hook you up with older software or tell you how to change some setting.

If I were dealing with the problem I'd continue to study/ask here with a new post titled "VSC light on with Scangauge" or something like that and study up at this site. Several guys over there run monitoring devices including Scangauge. The search function there works much better than here...
