Ok, so right now I'm so pumped. I know I'm crazy for doing this but I just worked out a deal with my local stealer, to trade in my 2010 Limited for a TE they have to acquire it from another dealer though. They seem pretty confident they will be able to get it for me, should have it later this week.

:reddance: I don't know why I didn't force the dealership I purchased from the LE find me the TE back in March. Oh well, only lost 2k on the deal that's about what I was going to spend on wheels/tires so feel like I came out even on the deal.

38,900 is what I'm getting her for! I'll post some pics when she's in my hot little hands!!!

Wish me luck in getting it, here.

Please post an overall review/comparison between the TE and Limited when you get a chance! Thanks!

The TE feels different the easiest way to describe it would be TE feels more like a full-size pickup and the limited feels more cross-over like (at least to me,in regards to handling/ride quality). The seats in the limited were way more comfy, not to say the TE's aren't comfy just don't feels as smooth.

It has the same instrument cluster so not much has changed there. The multi-display is slight different the TE's have larger characters are are more blocky looking , then the limited's was.

The limited had the full climate control, the TE doesn't part of me will miss that but over all I always ended up setting the fan speed/vent preference myself anyway.

I'll also miss the sunglasses storage space, the TE's Crawl Control cluster is there.

The shift knob is for the TE feels different, where the limited has the shiny gray paint the TE has a nice rubberized feel. To shift in to 4x4 it's back to old-school grab the lever and pull.

Other then the few things I pointed out it's pretty much the same inside as the limited was.

Very nice.

What size tire are you going with?

My recommendations:

If you are planning to lift your rig, do that first so you can run 285's.

Otherwise, you would be like me rushed into the 275's before lift and now I can see myself selling them to get the 285's

I plan on lifting it but that's at least 12-18 months down the road, so for now just doing a swap LT265/70R17 in a BFG AT/KO (dealer is buying back the stock tires and only charging me $100 per tire for them). It's also going to depend on how much I get into wheeling, there's not many good places around here to get out and play. When I do it I'll swap tires/rims and lift accordingly for the tire size I choose, 34" or 35"'s is what I'm considering at this point. That may change in a year thou :).

Yeah, part of the reason I'm waiting to lift is I'm waiting for someone to come out with a front bumper or a brush guard for it. I would want to make sure I purchase shock's that could handle the extra weight one of those would add. The other part is $$$ :), I've spent way to much this year lol.

Had a chance to play with 4x4 and crawl control... well sorta in a straight line for about 500 feet, since it was on dry pavement. In the limited when I put in to 4lo it didn't feel much different then 4hi, maybe that's due to the center diff and full time 4wd system. Being that it's always on I had just gotten used to the feeling of 4wd. When putting it in to 4lo and turning on the crawl control it felt like I could pull a house :D

Yes, you definitely feel confident and unstoppable.

I love off-roading at the beach, the 4R TE w/ tires goes through sand like butter.

For whatever reason, I think SR5s and Limiteds look fine w/ the stock tires. The TE, though, is completely transformed when it gets some proper tires. Looks great!

Completely agree on this one. I have to add though that the Trails really need a solid set of sliders too; the bottom is too clean as is. With aggressive tires and some black bars the Trail will be amazing :vader:
