TE roof rack on Limited?

I wanted to see if the black TE roof rack can be purchased to replace my chrome rack on my limited. Does anybody know if they are universal...if so how do I go about getting one. Thanks

How bout a trail rack on SR5? If it could work, where could one be purchased?

If I take off my sr5 rack completely how do I weather seal the holes?

I think the TE Racks will bolt right up. I sold mine to a guy that had a Limited.

I think the trail rack will look real good on your Limited ghostrunner especially with the wheels and brush guard. definitely post some pics if you do this

They actually sell the covers that come with the 2010 4 cylinder base models. I use them when I take off my rack.

When you remove the cross bars and roof rails, there are some black brackets that are bolted to the roof. Under those brackets are rubber washers and some black "dum dum" moldable gasket material surrounding the holes where it all bolts to the roof. After removing all that and cleaning the debris out of the rain gutters, I ran a bead of clear silicon around the white bolt guides; I haven't had a leak yet. Bolt the brackets in on top of that, then snap the covers on and you'd be good to go.

Its probably a long shot, but worth a shot...anybody out there looking to sell their TE Rails/Rack....I cant see myself spending nearly $1000 right now to replace my limited rack.

I do plan on selling my TE roof rack for something similar to what SeattleMike has but that is months from now.

Do you have the part number for those brackets that the covers snap to? the SR5's racks doesn't have them when you remove the rack. I have the covers but need the brackets and can't find them on the parts page.

I tried to find the number but I don't have access to TIS. They are referred to as "roof rack brackets" in the repair manual.

I do, but things are only worth what someone else will pay for it. If I'd been able to replace that damn screw, I'd be charging $600.

Fortunately, I have plenty of room to store the old rack so I'm not in any hurry to get rid of it. imp:
