technology package

So, trying to buy a 4runner is hard these days. Lost 2 TRD sports because someone beat me on putting a deposit down while I was in the "decision" process. Anyways, one came up and I quickly put a deposit down.

Noticed the one I got did not have a tech package, which is about a 1500 upgrade. I tried to look for the breakdown of that that package includes but can't seem to find anything. Anyone know what this is? Anyone NOT have a tech package in their 2022?

I'm worried that I won't USB ports in my new TRD Sport...

Building a 4Runner TRD Sport shows two technology packages available for that trim:

"Technology Package:" Includes BSM (Blind Spot Monitoring) with RCTA (Rear Cross Traffic Alert)

"Technology Package with Options:" Includes BSM with RCTA + Rear cargo tray with under floor storage.

Not entirely sure how that really constitutes a Technology Package... but then again the 4Runner trims have gotten so bloated and convoluted I guess they have to fine some way to squeeze in "add-ons" without directly stepping on the toes of the next trim up.

BlackWorksInc - There has been a computer products company around since the 80's (at least) Storage Technology Corp - STC - They make tape handlers and other products for the mainframe computer industry. Perhaps there is a connection!

You gotta go to the Toyota build and price page and see what each option is, and does, and costs.

Technology package - "Includes panoramic view monitor and HomeLink transceiver"
This is what people on the boards call the MTM or Multi Terrain Mode, which is the cameras all around the vehicle that give you the 360degree view. I can tell you from experience DO NOT buy one with the 360 degree view, the camera quality is absolutely abhorrent and just a step above useless. EVERYONE across every make and model of current toyota, the carolla, camry, tacoma, tundra, Rav4, on every forum are all clammering about how poor the camera quality is and how its nearly impossible to see out of any of them and how worthless the back-up camera is. I have a thread up on the board right now about the backup camera system, and i am VERY tempted to take it to the dealer and have them flash the ECU to get rid of the technology package 360 degree view camera system because the standard vehicles rear view camera quality is MUCH better without the 360 view (MTM) I would chock it up as a win you didnt get the technology package pal and dont worry about it.

Premium Audio package - Connected Services
You can scroll down about half way down the page and it shows you what all is in the Premium Audio package. Its way too much for me to type out cause it wont copy/paste

The two posts above mine are bots.... poor quality too.
