Tekonsha 3040P Adapter

Need help installing a Tekonsha brake controller. I purchased the Tekonsha 3040P adapter but can't find where to plug into. I found one pig tail plug by the e-brake that looked like it would work but doesn't. Can someone provide some pictures or guidence. Has anyone used this adapter? By the way I have a 2007 4Runner.

Here is a picture of the pigtail but the adapter doesn't slide in.

what plug, the big plug is the obd plug

No, the white square one right under it

Yeah it's the small one there in the picture you might of gotten the wrong part possibly I did have a bit of a pain getting in on the first time as well.

BCFish do you know what adapter you ending up going with.

I was lucky I'm 3rd owner and found the stock pigtail was in the glove box plastic bag not even broken. Sorry I can't help with the adapter.
