"TEQ" Grille Badges

I'm new here but I am a long-time member of a number of Land Cruiser (and vintage Datsun) forums and the founder of the Gotham City Land Cruisers club here in NY. We've been going strong for 11 years now!

I thought you all might be interested in getting in on this: I'm putting together a group-buy of grille badges. (I'm not making any money here - just investing my time etc so that I can have one of these for myself at a reasonable cost - and buying in quantity is the ticket to that!)

These are very nice quality 3" brass and enamel grille badges in the style of the ones vintage car clubs have had for years. This design will be the traditional "TEQ" logo (Toyota Motor Company in stylized Japanese characters) that you'll find in a number of places on your Toyota.

They sound like a great idea and I just ordered one, and if it's as great as described I'll be ordering an additional two for my FJ and 1st gen 4runner.

Looks pretty nice... but forgive my ignorance - what is the significance of TEQ? I did a quick Google search and came up with nothing. I'm sure that if I was to look a little longer I would find something... but I'm lazy, as most people here are.

It's a representation of 3 Japanese characters that is (was) a logo for the Toyota Motor Corporation (or whatever it was officially called). It appears stamped on many OEM parts or on their labels... maybe moreso on older Toyotas.
