BFGs have a slight durability edge off road but the Nittos aren't weak and I have yet to hear of any obvious downsides to the Nittos and after 20k miles and plenty of off roading my Nittos still look new.
On-road there's really no comparison,the Nittos easliy are a better choice in the dry and the wet.
I've driven on three sets of BFGs and I'll never again. Also,why is it BFGs cost and arm and a leg more? They aren't that much better.

Nittos are a good choice
I just put Nittos on my 99 SR5. I am experiencing some rubbing at the front wheel well against the factory mudflaps (now removed) and still slightly touching the splash shield inside the wheel well
with the LT265/75/16 size, only when making a turn and compression of the shocks.
We just recently had a lot of moisture and these tires do very well in the wet. The ride is slightly better than my old P265/70/16 and the road noise is almost non-existent.
Discount Tire Direct online had the best price I could find $121 for the D series and $131 for the E load rated series.:awais:

I did try to Private Message you about a week ago since you are close by. Not sure if that did not go thru. I am inept at this type of thing.....
Would you anticipate I will be able to return to using the mud flaps after a few 32nds of tread are worn off the new tires?
I have noticed significantly less spray onto the body of the vehicle since going to 265/75s from the 265/70 series tire even without the mudflaps.
