Terrible experience with Toytech-

So I ordered my ome lift from toytec October 25th. I never recieved a tracking number for my package. So after two weeks I called and asked them what was going on. The lady told me that my order was lost. ok no big deal, so they gave me free three day shipping. I just got it in the mail yesterday, cool right? I opened the box to only find coil springs no shocks. So I called again and they lady said oh I don't know why they didn't send you the shocks. So I explained to her that I really need them my rear shocks are completely shot and thats the whole reason I ordered this lift. So she went and talked to her manager and they are over-nighting my shocks so I have them tomorrow to put them on. I have never had such a problem with a website before and I will NEVER order from toytec again. They may have lost close to $400 with all their mess ups with the 3 day shipping and now the overnight. I've had better luck with shady ebay deals than this

...but they're making it right? I'd agree that they kinda hosed this up, but other than the 2-week wait (which isn't outside the realm of possibility), I wouldn't exactly call this a major screw up. I've had major screwups worse than this from companies I still order from, BECAUSE they made it right. *scratches head*

You arent going to get a lot of sympathy here.. toytec does good by all of us. And it sounds like they displayed great service to you as well..

Quit whining. Like you said, they spent close to 400 to make it right.

So they made a mistake and are fixing it-and you are still complaining??

It must be nice to live in a 0 defect world....

I can see why you'd be a little frustrated especially since you needed the parts to get back on the road, but it seems they did their best to rectify the situation.

Good luck with the install. Post some pics when you're done :thumb3:

I wouldnt be that mad other than i need the shocks. And pus they messed up my order twice

To answer this diplomatically.... :biggrin2:

On the one hand, I can definitely understand your frustration. I've been there, done that.

HOWEVER....they did fix it (or are fixing it) and they admitted guilt - even if only by fixing it for you. In this day and age, a company screwing up and THEN making it right isn't so common. That's what most here are trying to say.

Additionally, it's not a no-name company. It's a company most here are familiar with, and all of them are going to bat for the company...indicating that it's not some fly-by-night outfit. I've had no less than huge companies like Crutchfield hose up my orders royally.

BUT I will take a company with an okay product and occasional screw-ups AND the determination to make it right, over a company with a great product and TERRIBLE customer support.

I still havent received the shocks or a tracking number. Maybe they forgot ro send the tracking number so i emailed them waiting to hear back. Im going on a long trip this weekend and my 4runner is my only way of going and im not trying to drive 100+ miles with my truck in its current condition
