I have a 97 SR5 Runner, I bought it without a FOB, and assumed there never was one. After using this forum for a couple days I have discovered that I have the RS3000 system installed. I am going to buy a FOB from eBay, but first I was wondering if there was a way to check and make sure my RS3000 is functional. I followed the wire to my center console and the Toyota Security light/speaker, but the light has never come on to my knowledge.
So I was hoping I could verify the RS3000 works before dropping the money for a FOB for it.
