Amarillo checking in (I'll be moving to the Brazos Valley early next year), glad to see some other West Texas/Panhandlers representing. Hope everything turned out OK with the wife, Chelette.

The TE is quite the off-road machine even in stock form. Tires will be lacking, but you'll get over some pretty surprising stuff, even with the factory rubber.

You will need to keep an eye out on front and rear bumpers as well as your rocker panels. If you have any kind of steps installed (steps, not sliders), they will likely be your most limiting factor.

Someone experienced out at HF plus a good spotter will be a major help and will keep you out of any worry of body damage.

There's a great opportunity coming up. My local club, Heart of Texas Off-Road Club, is hosting an event there the weekend of September 19th called "FJ Fallout". It started as, uhhh, an FJ event, but they're open to everything Toyota. There are usually quite a few stock rigs and planned, organized runs for beginners with experienced guides and spotters.

I can post a link if you're interested in registering. If not, there are a couple of us on here that are local and pretty open to wheeling out there most weekends.

EDIT: Just noticed you're in Houston. HOTORC has a Houston chapter as well. Look us/them up on FB.

Hi fattire, you guys doing another one of those run? i missed the september one. I looked up your site and didn't see anything there. also do you guys meet somewhere for meet and greet before going to those offroad park? I picked up an icon stage5 system and would like to see and chat with someone that's already done one of those or similar set up. looking forward to joining you guys for the next one. thanks

First Post!

Austin checking in. Been lurking for the past month after picking up my 4R. Learning a lot. I initially picked up my 4R to run the trails on my hunting lease, but had a blast running through the trails in 4x4.
