"Texas Edition" 4runner Project

If you're in Texas you know everything has a Texas edition. I'm working on customizing my new runner Texas style with one of a kind custom badging and a few other mods.

I've looked around a bit and have fallen short in finding a 4runner font out there. Anyone seen or heard of a TrueType font that looks just like the emblem? I may be able to get away with it from the t4r.org sticker font but what is that or is it custom?

Nothing yet. I'll continue looking in the morn. If you can, I'd suggest checking Adobe's downloadable fonts. That is usually a pretty thorough font library.

funny you post this... last week I spotted and photographed a white 3rd gen 4Runner with a "Texas Edition" emblem on its rear hatch... I planned to post the photo to inquire whether Toyota ever did actually release any such thing...?

Nope. You can buy those emblems at the Toyota store, but I wanted to take it one further and get stuff custom badged. Hopefully I can make it all come together nicely. You know how we do.

I saw your post about the custom badging. I have a 2014 LE. I am adding a Shrockworks bumper ( should have it finished today) a lift, ...lots of goodies. My idea was to call it an UnLimited. I would like to find someone who could make the chrome UnLimited to look factory and was hoping you might know where I could get it made or could share with me what you ended up doing.

After a lot of calling around and research, I personally decided to go with the Toyota Tundra emblem. It simplified my process, it was 18 bucks, and allows me to put the money for something else other than emblems because it's obviously pretty expensive to create custom emblems. I will be getting a vinyl sticker created for my roof rack (which is a lot cheaper).

Very nice, those are the same wheels I have on my 3rd Gen. Much better w/o the plasti crap. It makes everything look cheezy.
