I'm just looking for people to kinda' show me the ropes, I guess you could say. I'm a total newbie to the whole off-road thing, but I'm trying to pick up as much information as I can. Anyone in the San Antonio area want to hit some trails?

Hey from half way between Austin and SA!

I would if I had a 4x4.... I pretty much stick to the pavement but sometimes I get off onto a bumpy road now and then. I think my 4Runner's dream is to get into some true off road stuff but I love it too much to test that theory.

it is on the outskirts of San Antonio. About 15,000 population as of now.

NRH here! You're right down the road from me. I have friends in Southlake. We eat at Sushi Sam's out that way too, as well as pass through there going to Babe's in Roanoake.

If you're ever out on 26, and pass Foreman's in Colleyville, blast the horn for me. 4Runner probably wont be there (wife drives it) but I damn sure will be LOL.
