Thank goodness for the Torque App

My 4Runner temp gauge started climbing on a big hill (it had never climbed before like this) and it caused me to pull off the freeway and stop. I stopped the engine before it reached the red.

Popped the hood and it was boiling over...

Let it cool down, tuned on the app, added some water to the radiator...

The rest of the drive home (30ish miles) temps ranged from 195-203 according to the app. It sure was nice being able to look at the gauge on my phone as I was driving...

I have been looking into thhe torque app and I dontk know what obd sensor adapter to use. there are so many on the market. I just dont know what way to go?

I have been using this one since October 2013. Has always worked for me. I have used it to check and clear CEL codes.

One of our runners has the annoying p0446 code, and until I can get that sorted out, this has been super handy to clear those annoying codes so that if something else triggers a CEL I will know about it.
