Just wanted to drop a note and say thank you all for the resouce that is this forum. Purchased my first 4Runner last monday (my first 4wd as a matter of fact) and am loving it so far. I'm a hardcore vw/audi guy and was just looking for something different to play with. Been learning a lot just by doing my due-dilligence and reading as much as I can. Already have a list of parts purchased and a wish list of parts compiled. Intro over. Here it is the day I picked it up:

Sweet rides. Are you planning to do some sort of VIP/street look for your 4Runner? Would definitely be one of a kind (despite what anyone here would say)
 
Thanks guys. not thinking of a vip look or anything. I am a wheel whore, so might try and find something rare and multi-piece. Would love to have a set of Jaos wheels, but a bit out of the budget for this one.

I'm on vortex, audizine and a few other forums. Not euroaddiction though. Same screen name.
 
This is amazing timing. My boy who has been a life long slammed Audi/VW guy just got convinced by me to buy his first Toyota 4WD. He loves being able to go over speed bumps at high speed.

caddy wasn't a diesel. was a mildly built 16v. 2.0L bottom end, 1.8L head.

Going to get the running boards and fender flares pulled off this week pending a downpour. Hate lying under wet vehicles if i dont have to. Still waiting on micro de kit, and the rest of my stereo wiring to show up and need to get a sub box built. Already got the front markers swapped out for clears, ripped off those AVS window visors, and got my vintage alpine 7897 installed. Just need to sell a set or two of 4lug wheels i had for the caddy and i can get my lift purchased.

One thing im having a hard time finding is a greyish-blue cargo cover. I know that most people dont like them, but want to cover up some goodies. Seems like all the ones on ebay and craigslist are brown/tan, so the hunt continues.
 
From one Vortexer to another, welcome!! that caddy is SICK and that b6...good gawd. more stretch and poke than a boner in spandex (and thats a good thing:banana: ) I never spent much time in the audi or mk1 forums, but if they are anything like the mkIV, you'll love it here. I grew tired of all of the hating and juvenile behavior over there

Nice looking runner! There is a pretty chill group of us around the Seattle/Tacoma area.

In high school I built a 2001 Dolphin Gray A4... I miss it often, but unfortunately papa isn't paying my bills anymore.

...The next person to say "hellaflush" is getting pistol whipped...
 
Been a vw/Audi nut for years and just got my first 4runner as well. Gotta fix up my b5 and sell it. Definitely loving my 3rd gen as well as this forum.
 
My old lady drives a B7. I threw some 11' wheels on it last year and she's. Een begging me to slam it ever since. I'll have to load up a pic when I get back to my pc.

Nice b5 tho. Might I ask what oil you run? This b7 eats full synthetic like its candy.
