Thank you Stability Control

Looks like my VSC saved my butt again. I live in Northern Virginia and we had a nasty ice storm yesterday. Ice covered every overpass in the area. I have to cross at least 4 to pick up my son from daycare. Anyway, I had to cross one that was a sheet of ice. I put the 4Runner in 2L and went about 5mph. As soon as I drove on the overpass, the VSC kicked in. It was loud but kept me straight. As I was going over I passed three cars that spun out and hit each other.

Nice! Glad you made it out ok.

VSC kicked in for me this morning too and helped me out more than I'll ever know. I was driving down the Prince William Parkway and during a turn I must have hit an ice pocket because truck started turning more than it should. I countersteered slightly by instinct and the truck "shimmyed" a bit, but corrected itself. There was a guy in the other lane that was slightly behind me, and if I had lost control I would have probably taken him out as well.

Stay safe out there, the roads still suck.

Would someone blow some of the snow the Columbus, OH please? I'm bored. 1-2" of snow just doesn't let me test things enough!
