I'm a vet, I use to drive domestic. But now I am trying out the import scene and am liking it. Plus a lot of Japanese cars are made here in the US and a lot of US cars are made in Mexico and Canada. Like Toyota in San Antonio, Mitso up there in michigan, susuki in like Idaho.

You both make very good relevant points.
I guess being 32 these days I look back when I was 12-14 and looking at cars and trying to find the coolest one to drive...I've grown up and realized after owning several domestic and import cars it all comes down to one thing....
Deciding on what/which car to buy has literally nothing to do with the make,model or style you want....buying a car is based on whatever makes you happy!!! and a lot of people ask me..."What kind of car should I buy?? And I just have to tell them..."You will know because only you know what makes you happy!
Grant it...thats a little broad statement above...but for most cases I think that is what's on people's mind.
...and Iman74. I hope that you are not implying that all veterans you know drive american because the entire car was made in america...and that makes you more patriotic than the next Joe in line. See Darktigers statement above....its true...many foreign cars are now being produced in the states.
My wife's chevy beretta had rear taillamps that were stamped..."Made in Italy"...they are going much farther than just Mexico and Canada these days.
If any of the above didn't make a lick of sense just ignore me...I don't want to start any fights on the board...just giving my opinion and you know what they say about a**holes and opinions =)
