So, went to the dealership today to pick up TRD Off Road decals thinking on the way I am going to get ripped off with my best guesstimate at $30. Walk upto the parts counter guy hands me a pair of them and sends me to the cashier, who politely ask for $112.57 :wow2:. WTF! needless to say no decals for me.

Wow. Those have to be the most expensive stickers I have heard of. Maybe they add a few hp and streamline your 4runner better. That must be why they are so expensive. :thumb3:

$40 is a small small price to have an ultra rare TRD edition 4runner...:roadkill:
lol i do like them though and am trying to decide how "poser" they are if you know what i'm saying, they do look cool when they are on, but those in the know will know, you know?

too bad i cant get mine off and still be able to be used bc im debating on taking them off to give it a no sticker "clean" look but if i could id send them to u.
I totally get what your saying and also thought about it before starting the pursuit. However, I think the TRD sticker is more of a statement that we use our trucks for what we build them for vs the kid with a Vtec sticker on a VW....Now that is a poser.

I am most likely a few steps behind you, like i said i do like how it looks and after re-reading that i sound like a snob, lol, i think its more about how it looks in the end but i do giggle a bit at the the 4runner thing, and my '71 vw bus only has band and slow moving vehicle stickers lol

I got some trd stickers from a friend for free who has a machine that can cut out stickers like this. I second the ebay option but you can also buy them from this site I got all black since I had trouble deciding what two tones I wanted. I don't really care if someone thinks its poser, I'm the one that looks at it everyday and I think it looks great. Here is a pic its kinda hard to see I don't have any close up pics atm.

Yeah, I want to take mine off too,
I think everyone can see that my rig is plenty capable offroad now, and Id rather save the sticker space repping the local companies that have made my 4runner what it is today.
Plus, I accidentally ordered the small ones instead of the "factory" size and then put one on kinda crooked on my driver side...
plus, once we get the 3rdgens.com stickers, it has that TRD look and is waay more original.

lol ya i got it originally bc i think u cant really tell when a 4runner has a 3" lift unless u are an enthusiast so i wanted it to be noticed as modded but now that ive got more additions to it and soon plan to add a BL and much more i think its time for a subtle no sticker look.

yeah, but with the 9 wraps you will definitely be able to tell its lifted... there is no way anyone can not notice then... I have so much space between my 33's and my fenders... its like running a 3" lift and 30s for tires... Im actually wondering if I couldnt run 35s without a body lift...
I dont think when I pull of my TRD sticker that I will be able to save it, Im also worried about all the junk it leaves...

Dealerships were sticking people with the $50/per side price 10 years ago.
IMO the Highlander/Sport models are the closest versions of the 4Runner that Toyota could've offered as a TRD package and that was my goal with my truck. The scoop,rear locker and taller coils (the skidplate even melds well with the package) made the '99s a little more unique and fit the TRD theme from the PUs pretty well.
I've even been asked by a few not-so-clued-in 4Runner owners about my "TRD" model.
I got all these from ebay for $33 shipped.
