I also park way in the back to avoid contact but there is always one driver who will decide to park right next to me, it drives me nuts!!!!

I've started doing this recently as well, parking farther away in an attempt to keep people away from me. When I park at work, I try to keep my driver's side close to another cars passenger side because chances are, they're driving alone and it gives the car on the other side more room to open their driver door without hitting me. I'm skinny so I can squeeze out and ensure I don't ding the guy on my left.
My girl complains EVERY TIME i don't take the closest spot and jokes about causing damage herself as payback for making her walk more!

PathFinder WTF???? I don't know if it is Colorado but ever since i moved back from Cali it seems like it alway's happens here...... *******s that don't know how to drive or park. I too try to park as far away or in the back as i don't carry anything in my Runner but there is always some ******* that out of a hundred spaces in the back wants to be next to you....... But after seeing this and so many douches parking close to me i wont feel bad when i do kick their doors instead of just cursing their name and trying to wait for them... Nope now it will just be a kick to the door and a F you note...........:flipoff:LOL thats funny! but yeah, when there is snow and no one can see the lines, then everyone gets a free pass... but once you can see the lines again, there are no excuses...
and then some guy said the driver might be spatially challenged!! LOL if you cant see the lines, and here comes the PSA: U SHOULD NOT BE DRIVING! lol!!
Speaking of parking like Sn0wrunner did! my buddy at work parked a bit more over the line with his Chevy so I did the same thing at work in our parking garage (keep in mind this is at 9p and I leave at 10:30p) except my wheels went over into a handicap spot (which is one of like 10 around our building and has NEVER been used in the 2 years Ive been here) LOL and I come out thinking I taught him a lesson cuz he had to climb in his passenger side door! LOL I had a "warning" from security on my windshield!!
the worst part?!?! they put my Make and Model down as a Nissan Pathfinder! :jaw drop:

Props to the lady in the 5th gen that parked at the far end of the parking lot and walked quite a distance to the stores.
I appreciate people that dont think that they are better than anyone else, regardless of what "status symbol" they drive...
yeah, I could drive a car and afford a 600$-700$ a month car payment if not more, but I like my 3rd Gen 4runner and its no less deserving of scratches than your Mercedes!!!
But for anyone that thinks they are better than the guy in the geo metro, you can kiss my you know what! :flipoff:

I think I like the ideas of parking really close or leaving a cart barely touching it... resorting to vandalism is a good way to:
A) Get your a$$ kicked by somebody like me... patience for vandalism, no... practical jokes and ironic humor, yes.
B) Ensure that when they take their car down to said body shop... you will be footing the rediculous bill.
I usually park out of the way... I am still young and fit... there are others who will benefit from a closer parking spot... I don't mind walking.

If you happened to be this guy I would completely understand why you take up two parking spots but I think you would also park in the very back as well.

I just like to park away from everybody and leave it at that. My 97 Has one ding on it(drove past a golfcourse) I find most people.. very lazy.i"m .45 I see that most people less than half my age will all crowd the fire zone or the Dont fukin park here zone just so they dont have to walk the extra 100yds to the PiZZA PLACE. When they should be walking around a track.. Then i will see an ELDERLY couple walking from the ass end of the parking lot so as not to get his Caddy scratched.

I parked like that at a mall one time, but it wasn't really my fault. There were a couple of cars obviously parked with no regard for the lines. There was a perfect space between them, so I pulled into it. By the time I got out of the mall, both other cars were gone and I was left looking like an A-hole for taking up two spots. LOL.
My buddies once slid a car (full size, BTW) sideways by pouring a small stream of motor oil under its tires and to the side. You'd be surprised how easy it is to slide a car on an oil slick!

A few people park like that at our parking lot. They don't park in the back but instead at the "Reserved" marked spaces. They probably work at the neighboring company, since we don't park in reserved spaces. The best part is people will park their motorcycles in the extra space between the car that has taken up two parking stalls.
(Not people from our company since have a lot of empty motorcycle spaces available right next to our building.)

On a similar note, my cousin worked for a guy who would push little cars into the intersection or well into the "red zones" with his truck that insisted on boxing him by squeezing in between his car and fire hydrants, bus stops, etc.

I usually don't park like that unless the parking lot is empty. I usually try to find a first/last spot on the edges and park away from the one side that is another parking spot. If it's a structure, I will drive up a couple extra levels, you can usually find a spot pretty close to the elevator/stairs because those levels are usually more empty.
There is no escape from these people. They are the ones who:
preemptively flip you off when they are cutting you off, or are up your @ss whatever lane you are in however fast you are going. These are also the people that try to weasel in front of everyone risking life and limb for one car length.
I park out as far as I can, set the cruise for 69 in the 65, and try to stay in the center lane. I give people the peace sign when the flip me off. There are some trigger happy egos out there, be safe.

this driver is just dumb. hopefully they are on the forum to see all the comments too.
if they were deep in the back of the lot on an empty day it would not be a
big deal at all. but they are a few spots in and just being an a$$.
this is perfectly ok. and exactly how i park...but with a much cheaper car.
