The 4th gen TRD PRO wheel picture thread

Can anyone help with rim configuration? I've never bought after market wheels, but I want to replace my stock ones. I run 285/60-r18 Toyos. I was looking to get VTX wheels (https://vtxwheels.com/) but they don't make for my size. I can't seem to find the TRD Pro wheels for this 18" rim either.

Suggestions?

Hello,

Nice setup! I wanted to ask you a few questions.

What spec are your wheels?

The TRD wheels that I'm looking at are 17x8 and offset of 5. Would they fit? And I wanted to see what size tires should I get that wouldn't cause any rubbing.
Or anyone can help a brother out?

Stock suspension. BFG 265/70/r17. Rubbed quite a bit more than I expected.

Posted on the T4R picture gallery, but i figured I might as well post on here as well since everyones 4Runner was an inspiration to mine!

Suspension:
Bilstein 5100's all around at 2.5" front and Daystar 1.5" rear.

Tires:
BFG KO2 265/70/17

wife just told me she's getting me these for my father's day gift !!

Found these at the local dealer for around 825... Is that a good price? Parts guy gave me the FJ cruiser trd wheels before..

Also does any one have a suggestion on what brand and size tires to get? 4runner will more likely stay stock height.

Can't wait to get a set of these!

Method Wheels have a big variety of sizes, they should have plenty that fit an 18". Some of their designs are too busy for me but they've got some good ones too. If you've got a whole bunch of money to blow then some Volks Te37's would be raaaaad. Otherwise switching to tires that accept a 17" wheel will give you way more options.

Method Wheels have a big variety of sizes, they should have plenty that fit an 18". Some of their designs are too busy for me but they've got some good ones too. Lug nuts for TRD

When one switches from stock rims (2007) to a set of new TRD wheels, will the existing stock lug nuts work, or are new/specific nuts required?

I switched but only because I wanted black lug nuts. I believe I had the stock ones on there for a week while I was waiting for the black ones to show up.

Ok guys I got a Silver 07 SR5. Got a few questions. I just recently purchased 265/65/r17 Dunlop A20's (not cheap) and had them installed on my factory 17" rims. These tires should swap over to the 17/7 no problem correct? I am also trying to debate if I should do the metallic or the blacks. Any opinions?

Yes they will swap over no problem. I would vote black the metallic are close enough to the same color as your runner it would look weird IMO.

No, but running 265/65/17 Falkens on TRD pro rims with no issues - you should be fine. Side note, I'd STRONGLY recommend bumping up to 265/70/17 if you haven't already purchased tires. The small size bump would have corrected my speedometer and filled out the wheel wells better.

Thanks for the advice! Currently on stock 2007 V6 4x4. Dealer said these geolanders should fit but wanted to see what others are running. Scheduled to pick up rims tonight and the dealer is about an hour away. Planning to upgrade tires to 265/70/17 after I upgrade struts/coils.
