In the process of installing a new bug shield on my 07 Sport. Made for the 2005 4 Runner we are putting it on the 07 before heading cross country.

the problem is that once it's on (remove the grill and slip the bug shield between hood and grille, then re-secure with original grill nuts (8) it matches up well but the added plastic makes the distance to far for the screws to reach. dealer part so going into them Tuesday AM to get their ideas. Nice people at Maita here in Sac.....helpful and fun to jaw with.

Will post a pic when completed.

That sounds great! I need to get a bug guard, and thanks for the reccomendation for the Sac. Toyota dealer. Let me know how it turns out...Ruffian always wants her best face forward too!

Update. I went to the dealer and they tried and tried to get the new shield on without any success. I got the factory shield, not completely happy but from what they say it will do the job on our x country trip. Pics follow.

Looks good! You know though, they still cost anywhere from $70 on up. I think I'm going to go ahead and get that Canadian bug guard, the one with the fangs!

I am thinking this will work for the summer than I will take it off for winter..keep it in a safe place........fang is cool.

I paid $99. at the dealer for the factory one installed. They were going to trade out the factory for the non OME which was $129. when I pointed out the difference they gave me a credit. Maita is good to trade with......
