The Beast went to SF today with rain and fog on the trip. What a surprise. got to use the 4Hi in the city on the slick SF hills and streets.

I guess that makes both of us, alaskaman. My truck got wet too this morning from the commute. I hate SF weather, it's so damn unpredictable. One thing I don't miss. I wake up and it's sunny in El Sobrante and when I drive to my parents house in SF every morning to drop the kids off... BAM! Wall of fog. It sucks even more so when I just detailed the new truck the night before. :bash:

They say the rain broke a record back to 1850 of no rain on the 18th of July in SF.

My ride was already needing a shower so I dug it, but hey El Sobrante is beautiful....

Awesome shots alaskaman. What kind of camera? D-SLR?

7am and 11am in SF was a total 180. It went from winter like weather back to normal summer weather and it was warm as heck in the evening.

But that fog is the natural AC for SF. That's about the only thing I can appreciate about SF, is that it doesn't stay hot for very long. Other than that, there isn't a whole lot to like about SF, parking sucks, traffic sucks... and I can just go on.

there is a limit to the number of bytes. if you enlarge using paint does it blur? I am having trouble getting the resolution any tighter on it and then submitting it. any ideas?

lived in SF for over 25yrs and yes the weather is not the best. You would hear it as Fog Town City by locals
Moved to San Diego and its hot as hell well for me it is. Over all there are pro n cons about SF. Overall not a bad place to live, do miss it at times. Food there is the best :biggrin2:

I like SF alot and now that I don't live there I like it even more.......

San Diego.....not a big fan but people who are closest to me love it..........

It was a remarkable morning what with the dolphins and all. Rangers at Fort Point were scratchin their heads.........

Sweet... thinking of a D40x myself. My friend picked up a D40 and loving it. But for me, I believe in buying the best I can afford at the time rather than upgrade later.

Hey Uneek.... I know a lot of people favor the Canon..but for me the optics of the Nikon are better. Just my opinion, but seeing the raindrops in these pics bears that out at least in my mind.....that was an special morning........

YEA... Ask blindside, he's seen my 4Runner NUMEROUS times...

My mentality is like that, probably because my family (we're 3 people in the household, 3 cars, but not everyone takes a car to work/school) doesn't use ALL 3 cars daily, so on days when it rains, we can avoid using a certain car to keep the cleanliness of the undercarriage... :bigok:

That's why Thai (in one of the GX threads) appreciates the cleanliness of my GX that's 4.5 years old!
