The Best 4WD State is...

I just googled "best 4wd state."

The 1st result was "Arizona State Association of 4-WD Clubs Inc."

Not a very good answer. I'm not sure AZ is the best off-roading state, though I do like it here a lot. I'd like to know what YOU think the best off-roading state is. Is there one trail or location you like more than any other?

I've never gone off-roading in Colorado, but that's the place I'd most like to go right now.

i would have to say im pretty pleased with utah. i havent been all around but ive been expeditioning out in the desert, up over 10k feet in the mountains, and around the slick rock in moab. and a little bit of sand dunes in moab also, not really tho i didnt want to show off in front of the AEV guys jumping there jeeps:D but theres sand dunes other places here too.
 
Thats a tough one. I have never wheeled in Washington State, but when I was up there looking for a house it was amazing. Missouri is nice also. Washington State gets my vote though.

Of course we all will be a bit biased but I think Colorado has some of the most diverse which includes desert and different types of terrain and surroundings as you go from a few thousand feet to over 12,000ft asl. And we have 4 seasons which can change the trails throughout the year.

Other than the Pine Barrens and Pennsylvania, I have no idea where people in The Dirty go off-roading :confused:
 
Another vote for Colorado, beautiful terrain and a huge variety of trails. Greyghost where have you offroaded in MO, I have lived here all of my life and dont know of one good trail.
 
I think California is right up there with the most diversification. It all depends on what type of offroading you enjoy though-the question is too subjective.

I am clearly biased but agree with Josh, California has some great, diverse terrain.

me and my friend had some real diversity today here in utah.... dont be jealous but it was amazing :D

well its up american fork canyon. the cordanates if you search on google maps are 40.546577,-111.616475 the trail is like a 2, stock runner worthy but not escalade worthy haha
 
i vote for Hawaii.

For the amount of lifted trucks per person here in the islands, I think we win.

However, since we are on an island, wheeling is at a premium. There is a fine line between private property and running over ancient Hawaiian artifacts and/or archaeological features.

I wish we had open frontiers still remaining in the islands, but paradise cant have everything =)
