Actually it's kinda sucked. I thought it was gonna be sweet. My manager calls me yesterday, says "we're super slow, want the night off?" of course with my wheelin' trip today, I couldn't say no to that. Got a saturday night off for the first time in months, goin' wheeling in the morning, it's looking purty good.
I started getting my stuff together, moved my corolla out of the way only to find a big puddle of coolant under the engine, (water pump leaking). No biggie, I'm off monday too, I'll fix it then, about time for the timing belt anyway. Wake up this morning, start heading out to meet with the rest of the group, make it about 15 miles and I overheat... and blow the head gasket on my Runner.:ybrick: Now I have two cars, neither of which are drivable. :cry2: Hurray for bike rides to the part store.
If that wouldn't ruin your weekend, there's more. The friend that towed me back home (who was also going wheeling) blew out the lower control arm on his Tacoma. When I called him, he was helping another guy that was going with us, who fried his alternator. Another guy who didn't even leave his driveway lost his spark igniter. And yet another, rear ended a pick-up. The wheeling gods were not with us today.
Anyway, thats my best.....? weekend ever.
Just thought some of you may find this interesting. I couldn't help but laugh a little, even though everyone is broken down now.
