So since it's Merica's birthday, I ordered the OME lift and It was a great price with free shipping. and I have the ARB breather kit in the garage. I am planning on UCA's and tires next monthish. Nothing will be really installed until the temps are in the 70's maybe, Its well into 100's with the heat index here on the Gulf. My plan is going 285/70 or 75 -17 tires. I will be geting a new bumper either the Coastal Offroad or the the LFD low profile bumper. I have no issues doing the body mount shop and the bumper . I will be starting a build thread soon, I need to figure out a name for this think. So let the fun begin.

one quick question, I was told that with the OME 3 inch kit I don't need the diff kit and it's mostly for the older gens and I was also told that if the 4Runner doesn't lean now there will be no lean when the lift is installed so I didnt order any 5mm or 10 mm spacers. I figured if its bad I will order them. The lift will sit in the garage for at least a month so I can get UCA's and tires and do them all in 1 weekend. I don't need the diff kit do I, I see Toytec sells them with every kit.

Diff drop prolly not I don't have it.

Some 4Rs do lean not sure who told you that. Specs on my lean are in my sig link. I got coil overs so compensated for the lean that way.

And you might want to double check what springs you bough with the lift. Adding bumper is going to add weight.

I bought the OME heavy front and heavy rear springs. I will have to assymble the coil overs but I will just rent the tool.

thanks, I didn't order top hats either the 4Runner is 6 months old with less than 10k miles.

Where did you find it on sale? I have the medium springs on mine but added a front bumper and it rubs on full turns. Just thinking of updating to the heavy springs.

Sorry should of been more specific.

I have Icon adjustable coilovers to get rid of the lean.

I'm pretty sure the OME is not adjustable. Unless you got a different spring on one side I believe it will still lean if you have it.

And on that note I am plsti dipping my wheels in the 106 heat today and the UPS guy just dropped off the rear springs. He said I was nuts to be out here doing this in the heat, I responded I have a fan.

Diff kit or not?? Most folks say it doesnt make much difference. I DID install the diff drop, but took no measurements so I cannot say what difference, if any, it may have changed the cv joint angle. Its cheap... and I dont see any reason not to install.

Spacers? I ordered my front coil over fully assembled from toytec and there was a “left” and “right” coil/shock assembly. The adjustment spacer was already installed.

..and it still leans some... only noticeable with a measuring tape. I just recently added a panhard correction kit and now that the axle is centered I should probably measure again to see how much lean I have. Im considering a spacer in rear coil.

Fwiw... “coilover” is a term used to describe the shock and coil assembly in every single modern 4runner, there are adjustable “shocks” that typically are purchased as an assembled unit with the coil spring, but even a non adjustable shock and coil assembly is a “coilover”.

I went with the OME 3 inch lift because of your build. I figured it's a great starter kit and should last 5 year or more ( hopefully).

I ordered from Total Automotive Performance It was just the springs and shocks. I have to assemble them when they show up. I need to find some level ground and measure from the bottom of the fenders to the center of the wheel or the road? I am looking at a Oct or Nov install so I can get UCA's and some 287/70/17 KO/2's and do it all at once.

New question.... Should I order the trim packers and the UCA's now before I do the lift or maybe just the UCA's, Are the OME trim parts easy to put in after the lift is installed?
