So here is what I have decided for the first stage:

Toytec 3" Coilovers complete setup in the front
LC front coils 8wrap out of a 97 Fzj80
Toyoyta OEM Rear Shock part # 48531-69417

Goodyear Dura Trac , Slinet Armor
285/75R16

Going to run the stock wheels until I decide what style of wheel I like and if I get the right back spacing.

What do ya think? Should be a pretty soild setup after all the research and reading I have done on this great forum as well as others.:lookout:

Sounds cool. What are you starting with? How's the maintenance on it? Lifts and big tires are cool but dint don't do you much good if all the maintenance items haven't been addressed to give you a good base.

Also, 3" lift and 285's, get a diff drop too.

97 T4R Limited, Supercharged, 108,000 miles. (the one in the picture in the first post) I bought the 4runner in June of this year with 104,000 miles. The guy I bought it from had records of every service, oil change, 30,000 - 60,000 - 90,000 major services. Tune ups, interior - exterior details, really took care of the 4runner. He also had it lowered 1" and heavy duty sway bars put on it to run up the mountains in Colorado. I had Safari Ltd. in Grand Junction go over the 4runner, flush the transmission, steering rack bushing, and do a tune up. No garage space right now, bumming friends garage to do install. :crybaby: The next phase will be overhauling the transmission with upgraded clutch packs, valvebody upgrade and a trans cooler. The supercharger was installed by Bighorn Toyota dealership in Glenwood Springs, Co. I don't believe they did anything to help the transmssion. There is nothing in the records atleast. LevelTen is the company I am looking at the the upgrade overhaul parts and the valvebody work, has anyone used them? Or can recommend another valvebody company? The transmission works fine, so I want to get the work done before I tear out second gear playing with the supercharger with bigger tires and a lift. This is our third 4runner we have owned, love them and definitely a T4R for life type of guy!! Here was our last Jeep and custom built trailer I built for my wife. Loved the Jeep but it wasn't a 4runner!!
