I got the Headlights from ebay more than likely for the looks...but let me tell you that they are way dimmer than stock...They come with an H1 bulb . They are some sellers that gives u the option of an upgrade with HIDS of course they are more expensive. Why you think I went ahead and bought some Aux Lights?.... LOL...$145 for them.

Sounds like maybe I should just stick to my current stock headlights. I'm wanting something brighter, so maybe ill just continue my pursuit of a light bar with some good aux lights. Seems though that light bars don't come cheap. Please take into consideration I don't have the kind of money you have. LOL Any suggestions?

Funny...very funny....I think u the one with the money ...those light bars are very expensive...too much IMHO... But if u like them that is a good option. Or just do a HId conversion.

HAHAHA! Hey gurl, your the one doing all the sweet mods, not me :) But yeah, HID conversion is probably my best bet. I really like the look of light bars and because I don't want to have to drill into my bumper in order to add off road lights in the front. Now don't be too hard on me, I am a newbie here LOL :hiding:
 
Stupid question of the night:

So is converting just a matter of replacing with HID bulb or is an actual kit required? (please note, I may be the most uneducated 4runner owner on the forums)

For the "HID look" Halogen bulbs, then it's just bulbs and a swap.

For true HID, it would involve the HID capsules/burners, ballast, igniter (some ballasts include the igniter) and a wiring harness with relay (optional on some kits, but recommended). Xenon Depot has HID kits.

One thing to note, plug and play HID are frown upon by many because of the excessive glare from HID when used in a halogen lamp housing.

what advantage do you get from a TRD radiator cap? does it increase the cooling capabilities of the radiator?

I am pretty sure It is not an advantage but neither a disadvantage. I just like the way they look and I really would love to dress up my engine and do some upgrades. I will do it eventually for sure. I will be getting and TRD cold air intake as soon as I can .
So why not put a TRD sticker in advance....he ll yeah!...:bravo:

I love my runner and I love to take care of her even though it is not a 4wd its my runner and I will make her look the way I like and want reagardless of that. (I wish I would have spend that extra 2,500 and got the v8 4wd...and not really for the V8 but for the 4WD)...but its way too late now...I am really attached to my 4runner and I will keep her in the family for ever if I can.
