The Evolution of JAC's 4Runner

Following BlairB's blackout rim thread I decided to give it a try instead of paying to get it done ....so I did the first rim today and this is the result. Will do the rest tomorrow.

Nice! Yeah I did the same, it was super easy. I'm thinking about redoing mine in charcoal to see how it looks. And you're lucky enough to have them off the truck. I had the tires already on mine, and I actually drove around for a week or so with one side black, and the other silver until I had time to do the other 2! :lol:


Oh and I REALLY like those TRD wheel caps...I was going to pick some up on ebay, but my gf said they remind her of the word 'turd'. She can be so lame sometimes...but I love her.

Thanks PTY...I just can't wait to get my tires now. It will be at least 4 more weeks tho'...but hey...at least I can take my time to do the rims.

Wow...that is too funny....at least it was the opposite sides who would have known the other side had silver rims....?...at least you were smart enough to paint one side first...LOL...

OK...I was wondering of doing it a little bit different until I can get the TRD centercaps for the rims....but cant decided...The rims are already painted.
trying to decide on the center caps color. The classic black , the silver ..or Dorado Gold

For me black is a neutral color, but the dorado gold may look good as color match to your truck.

:biggrin2: I have a question regarding your bilstein adjustables:
I'm assuming you set the clip to the 4th groove, where bilstein says it will raise the front an average 2.5",

Did you really gain an approx 2.5 inches of lift in the front?

I have them on order, but I don't want to lift the rear so setting it to 2.5 will look nose high.

WOW jac! Its looking great! Sorry you had to settle for FJs.. haha.. Did you use a glossy paint for your wheels? When i had mine powder coated, i went with a flat black. Cant wait to see them on your Runner! Oh, and i dig the TRD caps!! SWEeT

here you can compare the difference on the front...now remember that I also lifted the back 1.5" so in your case I believe (not sure tho') if not lifting the back then it will be nose high if you go all the way the bilsteins can go...so u might want to just go 1.5" on the front or just make sure it is level with the rear

Thanks PTY....I love them too...I did like the Coverkings I had before...But definitely this are more quality and bought them from a member here ...the complete set... I wanted the rear for the Coverkings but always ended up puting it aside for later...couldnt miss this opportunity to get the Wet Okolies tho' ... so I pulled the trigger....

Update!

Some Goodies awaiting for the ECLIPSE Navi HU arrival for further Installation

Eclipse HU Arrived!....with a little scratch but is here... apparently the cause for the scratch is that black wire placed at the top of the unit. No big deal...but if someone can suggest something to cover it a little I would greatly appreciate it.

Will be trying to get all these goodies installed this weekend...now i just need the headrest monitors to complete my interior Multimedia setup...woohoo!!
