That's what I figured. I'm gonna leave them on because I don't want to risk messing up the paint under or around them. Worst case if I don't like the TRD decals with the pin striping I'll just pull the TRD decals off and I'm only out $10-20 at worst.
 
Since the weather has been getting nicer in St. Louis I've done a few things to it
-blacked out my grill in preparation for an ARB front bumper
-added by awning to the roof rack
-installed the 10" and 6" lights on the front and back of the rack

I'm with you on the awning- yours came out great!

IIRC and unless things have since changed, the Arb front bumper works well with the Limited flares because of their width. Will your thinner flares work as well (or better!) or will you be modifying the bumper or???

That thing just gets better and better. :happy:

haha thanks sue! I still think Lee's is worse!

I wont be modifying it at all, hopefully it won't look too offset, should be here this week!

Contrary to when I first installed the ARB bumper, the Ltd/Sport wide flares were sticking about an inch past the edges of the bumper on either side....I needed to flare them out to match the wide flares. So with the skinny SR5 flares, it should be perfect and flush and not look offset.

I don't believe ARB made two versions of the Tacoma bumper at all. I know they did make some changes with the actual bumper mounting brackets.

The 4Runner's being put together very tastefully and it looks amazing. I thought that was a good choice of direction when you decided you wanted to wheel this thing instead.

I might be thinking of when 4Runner people had to buy ARBs for the Prado or some such- it's been some time and my memory's vague- or I might not be thinking at all!

Looking good.

Do you have a body lift? You don't need that much gap between the ARB and body to allow for bumper flex.

I do not have a body lift, for some reason that's just how it sits on there, I believe others are like that as well
 
Great looking rig. I've got the same tires and love them. They've got over 30k miles on them. Why would you want to sell your 4runner?
