the infamous ARB bumper nose dip

over the years I have seen so so many pictures of ARB front bumper installed, almost all of them, include mine, were tilled forward, 3rd and 4th Gen 4Runner and Taco's alike.

after the installation, I tried many ways to bring it back to level, but there wasn't much I could do. that left me to my only option to re-mount the frame brackets.

so, I patched up the hole I drilled for the big vertical bolt, put a piece of 3/16" plate between the bracket and the frame, re-drilled the frame accordingly.

here is the final result:

When my ARB was fitted the goons left it unadjusted and in the nose down attitude. I simply loosened the bar-to-bracket bolts just a little, pulled and pushed until it sat nicely, then re tightened the bolts. It hasn't moved since even after several really big offroading bumps.
One thing that can be done to secure it in the best position is to drill a 'locking hole' through the mounting plate and the chassis brackets. An M6 bolt works just fine. In fact, several other ARB bumpers actually do this because some need more available adjustment than others.

I know this is gonna prob upset Techno, but maybe you guys should buy a real bumper instead of that old ARB stuff that looks like it belongs back in the 80s along with neon colored clothes... :jk:

then you wont have to worry about your ARB falling off! :
