The Josh's Build Thread

thanks!!!

SW said they would be shipping this week so we"ll see....

So March it should come. :ybrick:

Also, are you still running the rocky road sliders; don't they also mount to the body as well as the frame? What are you doing to do about that?

body lift is now done along with the new bl brackets for the sw bumper, tomorrow i hope to move up the sliders and possibly install the control arms and rear diff guard

here the new diff guard

im happy with it so far with the exception of the hardware, the bolts werent long enough so i had to run to the hardware store to get the proper length bolts oh and one of the holes on the far left wasnt tapped properly so it ruined a bolt so i have to retap it when it gets dry enough to get back under there

i should have went 35"s a loooooooong time ago!!!

the acceleration and pick up feels pretty much the same as my 33"s, i cant really turn worth crap right now until i :sawzall: the bodymount (which is happenin tomorrow)

i absolutely love the looks of these tires and i cant wait to get them dirty!!!

so today waa a very eventful day in the josh garage. i set out to accomplish all the exterior to do's before the mojave trip, next week ill handle the interior "issues" like hardwiring the cb, figuring out a very secure fridge mount and a few random things.

so today i finally installed:

new OW sway bar links
kurtfab diff bracket
hammer the crap out of the front fender pinch welds
hammer the crap out of the rear rear pinch weld

luckily i had some help (my lovely shelley) and some fresh new barley wine release from sierra nevada to help along the way:

Welcome back! Can't wait to see your other mods. It is so hard to keep up with you!!!! Hope to see you this year at pismo.

just finished installing the DDM 4300k 55w HID kit, i also purchased the extra relay wiring kit they sell to ease the install. it only took about 45 mins and that included shortening the wires, routing everything cleanly and so forth

the final verdict: AWESOME!!!

the color temperature is perfect, its exactly what i was looking for, i was aiming for the simliar color temp as Lexus has and i think its pretty spot on

Looking good as always Josh!!

If you're looking for something to do while you're waiting for your bumper, you should think about bending down the squirrel finders and get rid of the halo's above the cut off to minimize the glare for oncoming vehicles.

Here's the how-to thread

Just a thought.
