The lack of a pillar grab handle makes me want to kick puppies

This is one area about our 2014 LE that annoys me too. I'm use to the A pillar handle in my 2010 tundra, so whenever I hop in the 4runner to drive, I'm always searching for something definite to grab on. I'm 6' so I just grab the top of the roof while getting in. Mildly annoying, that's all

Those little spring loaded, auto retracting, over the window handles make great places to put my clothes, shirts and stuff on hangers when traveling. That's what they're for right?

My wife has to grab on to something to pull herself up into her LE.

Since there's no grab handle on the driver's side, she uses the steering wheel, which sometimes rotates a bit when you pull on it.

The more preggo she gets the more I worry she'll fall.

The idea of some people actually needing it to climb in and out in daily driving hadn't really occurred to me. There are other reasons, though.

Use mine every time I get in and out of the truck simply to unweight my body to save the seat. It's also been very handy at times when getting back into the vehicle off-road when at a substantial tilt.

To the OP, add the handle, save the puppies.

I've said this on another thread months ago, the A pillar driver grab handle is definitely one of the features I miss on my '13, coming from my '99 4R. Has anyone popped off the trim to actually see what's there for a possible handle support?

Coming from my Ram, it's a habit I need to break from dragging my Disabled Veteran butt up in that truck on painful days. Now I just look like a douche grabbing for something that isn't there on a truck that's easy for me to get in lol. Although at the current moment, it would be helpful if I needed something out of the truck...unless I went through the back. :suspicious:

Yes, this is another good point. I actually told my wife to make sure she steps on the N-fabs to avoid sliding off the seat. We added the custom leather package so I want to keep that in good shape. I know how quickly the edges start to wear whether it's cloth or leather.

I drive 100% of the time, my wife rides in the passenger seat ~50% of the time. My driver's seat shows zero wear and tear after 2 years, meanwhile her side is already showing crinkling in the fabric (even though she is getting in and out 50% less). Women, go figure.

Best part is, she claims to step on to and off the slider to get out, and does not slide her butt off edge of the seat, riiiiiiiiiiight :lmao:

Yeah - in reading that thread it sounds like only the 2014s don't have the grab handle. Anything prior to that came with a grab handle which can be fitted to a 2014.
