The lights behind the ac/heater controls

I need help tring to find the lights that go behind the ac controls. I've removed the radio trim and removed the ac controls, and there are three bulbs: 1 for each control. the bulbs look like a christmas tree light but smaller, and it sits in its own holster making it a bundle. I called the deallership, and they have to order it. My local parts store don't have them. Does anyone know the technical term for these so I can look online for them. Thanks

You HAVE to get them from the dealership, unfortunately. The little plastic base that the bulbs sit it are fused with the bulb, so there is no way to just change out the builb only. The good news is, they're not that expensive and once you replace one, it will more than likely never go out again.

You can change the bulb yourself, and if you wanting LED's for the replacement, www.autolumination.com has them.

But there are three different sizes, and I'm not sure which one is the correct size.

Type A 8mm= 5/16"
Type B 10mm= 3/8"
Type C 12mm= 15/32"

my buld blew and i raplaced it from the local parts store... but i was careful not to rip the green plastic pice... it riped... darn but i did get it off and replaced the 1 buck bulb.... easy!

no need to go the steeler!

Looking at your sig, you have a 96 4runner. They changed the dash in 99. I used to have a 96, and i replaced mine too. Now I have a 2001, and its a different ball game
