The NEW v8

So toyota is coming out with a 5.7 liter v8 engine in the fall for the new tundras. I wonder if maybe the crank would mate up with my 4.7 block and turn mine into a stroker....just a thought...

The V8 in my '05 Sport 4Runner tows my 21' trailer great.

But how come these are so noisy? Even at idle these motors are not very quiet.

i have an 03 sr5 v8 and it purrs like a kitten, not silent but quieter than my moms honda accord c6.

anyway...does anyone know anything about the new 5.7 that is coming out? are they using the same block as then 4.7 and just changing the bore and stroke, or is it completely different? i think it would be fairly amazing to stroke my 4runners v8
