The Official Build Thread

The ups guy just dropped off my nittos. They look really good in person. Ive heard nothing but good things about them so I chose them. I got 3''coil lift with ome shocks. Anything will be better than your 12 y/o suspension lol. Dont get me wrong i would love the ss lift but like i said I couldnt spend that much money for what I do. The toytec will be more than enough. I also ordered the helo maxx 6 rims this morning. Should be here friday. What rims you gonna go with ?

My buddy has the nittos on his 2.5" lifted Taco and they are awesome, they didn't clean really well in sticky mud but they are an A/T so i didn't expect them to perform like Iroks... Are your rims black or chrome? Sorry I'm too lazy to Google them, lol... I'll probably keep my stock 6-split spoke rims until some 5 spoke limiteds from a newer year become available... Are you putting the lift on yourself or having it installed? Sounds good man, be sure to throw up some pics! :bigok:

There black with chrome around the edges. A buddy of mine is putting the lift on. Hopefully this saturday. I def. wil put pics up.

I thought about doing a build thread of my runner but dont feel like writing step by step all the stuf I do and doing write-ups.

So a bit of a set back today... I just dropped my truck off to get the front and rear brakes done, basically signed a blank check...

I was gonna see if I could wait and do the tundra upgrade but I was scared that I might die driving it before I got to that point...

Safety first!!!:bonk:

Picking up the truck today... circa $250 in the hole now on the build...:(

But I can stop now! Looking forward to getting the rear diff breather this weekend...

Ok so nothing exciting... Picked up a first gen roll bar and installed it... Pics to follow soon...

Still working on the lift, no more truck payments after this week though! :bigok:

Is the roll bar out of a 1st gen 4runner?

Yeah it is, I cut the front feet off of the bar first, then cut exactly 2" off the front legs, had the feet welded back on and presto... Perfection... Hit it with some flat black from a rattle can and mounted the maglite...

not much has been done... too many set backs, I'll get some more shots of the roll bar tonight...

Sorry for the delay... :(

I like the roll bar. I think its on my list of things to do right behind the train horn, roof rack, different rims, body lift and winch lol.

Thanks man...

It's something different, and I like it, so that's all that matters...

I counted up my fundage yesterday and I'm about $600 away from the lift... Figuring end of May-ish... Donations anyone!?!?!?
