I agree, except mine is on the opposite side. I'm a big boy and have big legs and it would have gotten in my way there. So I figure I'll let it get in my passengers way instead . . . heck, if they don't like it, I can strap them to the roof rack!!! :biggrin2:

What kind of seat covers are those you have? They look good in there!
 
mine is mounted on the outside of the glove box...still within reach...but im not kickin it...or hitin it with my hand when i shift...i will post some pics when i take some...
 
Seat covers are from some company on Ebay, I wish I could remember the name. They are heavy duty PVC with pretty decent foam backing that makes up for a lot of the wear I've done to the drivers seat. They "custom" made the pair for around $90.

They're not these are they? If they are, they look better in there than I thought they would.

Those look very close. The key for me was the foam backing since I pretty much killed most of the padding on the drivers seat, and I hate those L shaped pads. I searched ebay to try to find the seller but looks like they are gone. The company was in CA.
 
I decided not to go with the full size cb.
the Cobra 75WXST has the same 4 watts as any other cb but fits away in my center console. A quick trip to the cb shop down the street and I can get a 500W linear amp and talk across texas.

Thanks again! I'm waiting for some swatches to arrive that I ordered from them. Most likely I'll end up ordering them though. If I do, I'll post pics and info. I'm sure theres more people on here looking for decent covers without a huge price.
 
thankx for fixin that, yea, i dont think that would work for you, lol have you thought about mounting on the ceiling ? Ive seen a few rigs with the CB mounted up there, works great, since most speakers are on the bottom of the CB radio, i dont have a pic, but i put a external speaker up where the holder for the sunglasses/ garage door opener is.

Yea, I did think about it. But I've got a sunroof, so that limits me to certain areas. I'll just keep it where it is. Yours looks good though!!!
 
thats not my rig, just a pic i found real fast, but mines set up the same. diff. radio same location.
