Very nice work! Makes me wish I had the older rear bumper. I've been thinking of just cutting the rear bumper but I haven't found the right lights yet (cheap/right shape/still some quality).

You can wire lights however you prefer. While this is a very cool idea, the way one would wire the lights is based on preference. I think I would wire them independently for auxiliary lighting myself. Depending on the light output, it might be a little extreme for standard back up lights.

I love these and am hoping to get a set when they are offered.

I think I would mount them up to a switch as I don't need that kind of back up light all the time, but when you want it, it's just a click away.

i have mine this way, but after having it like that for almost a month, i would kind of like both the switch and to automatically come on when i put it in reverse, its just easier

My thing is that I back out of my driveway every day and my street is very narrow and directly across from my driveway is my neighbor's picture window. They are lovely old folks and I'm sensitive to not flooding their living room with all that light unnecessarily.

The lights are now wired up. Took a while, but I was able to grab a few quick shots with the phone after I finished.

^^These are the lights, and pretty sure this mold is exclusively for these lights.

I really love the clean look just not quite ready to spend another ~$150 for the lights@$43 each++ and the housing at $50.

Is there a reason why you didn't paint them white and use the white version of the light? Wanted them to match the blackout emblems?

As T101 said, they're designed to fit the specific 2" LED lights. The holes in the plates are squares with 2.17" side dimensions and 0.3" radius fillets in each corner.
