Ok got some pics to add to my thread, have since added a sunroof. If you've trolled the General forums you've seen the whole mess I went through with it. Finally it's done and I'm about as happy as I'll ever be with it. Not exactly perfect, but it's close enough for me (and I'm picky as hell so I guess it's fine lol)

No lift or big tires, it's just a two wheeler so it's not offroad capable really. Plus it's more of a mommy mobile to haul the rugrats around, but in style, could not stand a mini van or some of the other butt ugly SUV's out there.
Mods will mostly be appearance, and I want to add an Alpine IVA-W205, Blackbird, two screens in the headrests, Subwoofer, upgraded door speakers, and that's about it interior wise. Outside I need to get a body color grille, rear door valance, debadge, and LED out the other bulbs that are filament type to compliment the LED stop lights.

Yeah we had a sunroof in the Acura Integra that had to go when we got this, and we LOVED the sunroof in it, so when we found this one, we knew we would eventually have to put one in. Right now it's too hot to use it much, but it will definitely get it's use lol.
I have an 89 Honda Accord that I'm totally restoring, unibody up resto, and I bought a donor car for the EFI harness and engine. It had a sunroof. mine didnt. So, I cut the roof structure out, and put the stock sunroof in my car lol. That's how much I love a sunroof.... :bigok:

Nice thing about the sunroof job in my Honda, it's totally factory. I cut the substructure out of the donor car, plus a 1" strip of the roof skin around the hole, and dropped the whole thing down and out, cut the cross rails from under my stock roof, marked the hole opening on my car, cut out the opening, cut out some of the front supports under the roof, and popped the donor section right in. Clamped, welded it in, and body seam sealed everything to give it rigidity and no rattles. I alread have the body work done around the opening to re-establish a good smooth roofline, need to primer it, dust it with black paint, and start blocking it out to get it perfect. When I'm done, and the paint is on, and the interior is put back together, you'll never know it wasnt a factory sunroof, will have the formed lip around the opening and everything.
The sunroof place that did my 4Runner should take some notes off my install LOL.

I feel I could do ALOT more if I had the money/time/equipment to fully realize my ideas. I'm working on the money and equipment aspect. Hoping to FINALLY be able to get my new Millermatic 251 MIG welder this spring with what promises to be a good tax return. Would have had one this year, but we moved a bunch of stocks and wound up paying a ton of capital gains taxes, so we freakin owed!! Sucks but oh well. We may have to work hard now to keep everything paid and have the nicer things, but we'll retire with a hefty sum too so no biggie I guess.
Anyway, I'd kill to just sit and build custom cars all day long, make modifications, mix and match car stylings, etc. I'm a huge fan of Chip Foose's work, I LOVE his vision. His motto is how I like to do things, make the vehicle custom and reflect your own view of how it should look, but do it in a way that makes people wonder if you did anything at all, or make them have to look for the modification because it's so subtle and blends with the car so well, they know something is different and they like it, but it doesnt just jump out at you. That's a hard act to pull off......

:iagree:... Chip Foose is one of my favorite builders, along with Troy Trepanier. It's a very unique design philosophy Chip uses how the design changes is significant enough but yet subtle. I'm glad I got a chance earlier this year to see some of Chip Foose's work at the Petersen Automotive Museum. When are they going to have more episodes of OverHaulin'?!?!
