The Rant/Rave/Anger/Stress Thread

After being extra stressed today from work, and having more family/money problems I figured a thread wouldn't hurt for people to vent. Mainly I see this as a multiuse thread for advice and ranting/raving. Also a sign of stress is weird, odd dreams, I talked to my doctor about it. Psychiatrist's/Psychologists and their ways of giving advice are welcome too! :) I only have 1 rule: 1) Don't be all "you think you got problems!", we ALL have our problems and they impact everybody differently.

Just a little run down from today:
I start school on monday, and my job wants me working form 4 - 10 almost everyday plus weekends, granted I get paid 9.45, but I just can't handle working and doing honors HW and being being tired all the time, they also are assholes to me, and yes that comes with nearly every job, but this one is just not my style, lol.
My dad had a heart murmur and was in the hospital and had some tests done, insurance was going to cover, now they just denied it because they stated preexisting conditions are not covered, and somehow they related this to hypertension. And then they sent us a bill for $15,000, I'm not lying.
My mom's temp job is coming to an end and she is "supposed" to be paid every 2-weeks per the contract, but he only pays her once a month, which is horrible because we need that for bills.
My dad's insurance business is doing horrible, and he isn't doing a good job of trying to fix it.
We are selling our boat for bills and I had to trailer it to a dealer ~20 miles away and when I got there the trailer hit a protruding object and left a nasty dent/scrape on the wheel well, the damn deal put a light post in the stupid place on a corner, pissed me off so much, considering how pristine everything else is.

BTW, if you were wondering, yes I am in HS, no the 4Runner isn't "mine" but I put the money into it for all the maintenance and half of gas and insurance because I share it with my mom. Because were so low on money I give my mom nearly half of every paycheck for bills and such, so it's hard for me save up for my own car.

End rant here.

So let your stress out, vent people, vent.

I'm not so stressed these days, considering I went through similar things when I was in HS. My single mom and brother and I were real poor and had to scrimp and scrape for everything, all the time. Until I started working, then my brother (grocery store across the street) we had no decent: food, clothes, cars, heat in winter (MN, it was like 55 in our house), or cool in summer, shoes, you name it! My job and two years later, my brother's job, helped out, I was able to get myself some decent threads and an '87 Olds Delta 88 (the "Delta Dipper"), which kicked ass cuz my bro didn't get a licence until he was 18 and had to be driven everywhere. Then my mom's POS VW broke down a final time, jeez enough of this crap!

Now I got a sweet job, a sweet ride, and shopping for a house. I was close to being married once (better to have loved and lost...) but now I'm single and fish like nobody's business. I help my mom and brother when needed, it feels good to be able to do that.

All I wanted was to ditch my hometown for awhile and live on loans and grants in Duluth for college. Get away from my dopehead buddies, my crazy family, and everything else for awhile. Maybe you need something like that for a little bit. You take honors classes, so just try to buckle down, get into college and take control of your own destiny.

Glad your not stressed these days, that's pretty rare, I must say.

Man sounds like you're having a run of bad luck lately. Things will get better, I'm on the upward spiral now from a couple years from hell. About the only thing left we are working on is a large credit card bill that accumulated during the past couple years. But for once, we are not stressed about money. I was devastated when I was let go at Lockheed. Then a business venture with my best friend never really took off, we got screwed by Tractor Supply, Lowes, and Home Depot, who were all going to have us do their warranty work on lawn equipment. My friend spent about 12K on materials and we hand built a new 40X60 fully insulated steel building with 10X10 rollup door, 3-0 commercial steel door, Tan with Forest Green trim, to match is other new showroom/parts/repair facility he built about five years ago. I was on unemployment and helped him weld it up and finish it out, just so we could hurry up and get the place ready to work from, so I'd have a job. None of the companies made good on their promise, I had to have him lay me off, and shortly after my wife got laid off from her job, pregenant with our second child (last November) Against all odds, we both found jobs within a day of eachother, the end of December last year, and we both love where we are at, I get TONS of overtime, I work about 55 hours a week, and we are managing pretty well now.

Sadly though, we figured up what we are paying in daycare, would more than pay for a house TWICE this size, with a few hundred bucks a month left over. Phucking sick. Our daycare costs now are WELL over our mortgage payment. For just two kids. One is three years old, the other is three months old. Kids are cheap, daycare is expensive as shit!!! When these rugrats get out of daycare and into kindergarten, I think I'll buy the wife and I his and hers Corvettes. Hell, I'd probably have money left over LOL.

It all works out in the end, you just have to stay strong and focused until you acquire your goal.....

Ever thought about baby sitters? I mean find one you trust, and I'm pretty sure that would be cheaper than daycare, or even search around, I dunno I don't have kids yet so I'm excited for this "daycare" you speak of. lol.

A little update, I gave my employer a 2 weeks notice, and the manger said fuck, because I'm their only EasyTech aka computer technician. And besides that, he along with the other managers don't know that nearly our entire work people is going to be giving 2 weeks notice, or quit. Pretty sad 9/16 people will be quitting and on the pursue something a hell of alot better than Staples. Good news is that there is a computer store that just opened up a week ago and I know the owner and he knows I'm a computer guy so he was happy when I came in. So instead of doing stock/computers/janitorial/sales/check-out I'll be doing what I originally wanted, to fix computers, and also build them, and even teach people how to use them.

Dont trust baby sitters. Too much that can happen. They usually arent licensed or insured, not trained, wont teach your kids as well as a good daycare, and might rob you blind a bit at a time.

I hate the cost but the daycare facilities our girls are in are awesome. My 3 year old is learning so much, hell she knows things in spanish I dont know!! By time she's ready for kindergarten she'll be way ahead of the game, hoping school wont be a challenge, or at least, not such a challenge like some kids had that she gets frustrated and gives up. Hoping with the head start she'll learn easier. And seeing as how fast she picks things up, dont think it'll be a problem.

The three month old, well, that one's yet to be seen lol. Got a while before we see what we've wound up with yet! :biggrin2:
