The Seat Pop is back with a Vengance!

Just 30 days after they replaced the seat with a new seat frame,the pop is back, 100% more worse then before...

I can't believe it. GOnna call Toyota and ***** ***** *****. My warranty is done but who cares...the original fix never worked:

That sucks man. But if you had the seat replaced originally under warranty they probably will replace under good will, or at least they should.

Yep, the pop is back in mine too. First the absolute 13 month hell with my 06, now the 08 Urban. I'm on my third seat...and it's back again, this time only one month since it was last replaced.

Do what I did - hire a law firm and sue Toyota's ass. This seat issue has been going on for years, they don't have a fix and their quality is in the shitter.

The demand letter was sent to Toyota yesterday giving them 14 days to either buy back my Urban and compensate me for all the payments I've made or else suit will be filed.

As stated before - I will NEVER again buy another Toyota.

Sorry to hear! My shop foreman commented that he doesn't know what else to do other then replace the seat, but even then, the seat and seat frame are same so i'll probably get the same results possibly.

still, I'm scheduling an appointment to get them to check it out again its our of warranty but it seems they want to do the right now.

I love the rig too much. Other then the seat pop and the driveline clunk, the rig is quite superb compared to anything else out there.

Thanks Morphius. I love the truck too and I hate to do this, but seriously, I've had it with the seat bullshit. First all the problems with my 06, now the same crap with my 08. As soon as the suit is settled, I'm out. They will either buy it back and compensate me for the payments I've made, or they'll offer some ridiculously low number, I will take it and then trade it in.

Haven't yet made up my mind as to what I want, but I'm looking at the FX35, the MDX and even the Infiniti M35 sedan.

I will keep you posted on the lawsuit.
