the sticker on the inside of my door says 2004, is this in the realm of false advertisement? Since I just signed my life away a week ago, do I have a chance to back out of the deal for this reason? Please help, love the ride, but a year will make a difference on the NADA price and them a$$holes knew it!

That's probably the mfr date. Late 2004 build, model year 2005.

Positive. Happens all the time. Notice that manufacturers introduce new model years the prior year. Like the 09s were out in 08, manufactured in 08, but sold as 09s.

Its on there. Also, the no kidding easiest way to tell you have an 05, is if your transmission has an extra speed. I think you should have a 4d. 04's have a 4spd trans, and the 06 has the new grill and bumper.

10th character of VIN gives you model year. In your case 4 = 2004, 5 = 2005.

You have a V8 and the V8 came with a 5 speed at the start, 2003. My 04 has a D and then to the left is a "3". Meaning my 04 V6 has a 4 speed. The V6 did change to the 5 speed in 2005.

So, if it is a V6, you should know what year it is by the type of transmission.
