The Team that Made Me Love 4Rs

This isn't about me liking one generation over another. I love each, and am just waxing over the beauty of my 3rd. Feel free to lay it all out for other generations. I guess all is welcome.

The team that designed the 3rd is way cool. I mean, it's totally like a cush platform on a beast. But, the lines--I mean the flaring from rear to front, and how it holds lines straight from rear-to-front. It's just wicked, not to mention the stance it takes when you look at it head-on. Way bolder and cooler than other offerings from those years.

Agreed, looking at my moms 4th gen sport next to my 3rd, I can agree strongly.

Very timeless look, just before plastic took over.

I have always loved the 1st gens too, another timeless look. And the 1st gen pickups with the round headlights, those are so sick. But I agree the 3rd gens do have the most attractive lines (but of course I'm a little biased). I really like the front end of the 5th gen too, it looks mean.

I feel the same way about my 04 cruiser. LandTank I mean - Toyota's and arguably the planet's most over-engineered civilian truck.

I agree.... I'm a big fan of the 3rd Gen design and look. It is more bold but yet still refined and sporty. I also think the 3rd Gen is the best looking Toyota when lifted.

Don't get me wrong, I love the look of the 4th Gen, but I still love the look of the 3rd Gen and would call it a tie between the both. Somedays I see mine and like it slightly more then the 3rd Gen, then somedays I'll see a 3rd Gen drive by me and say to myself... "Man, that looks sweet, I'd like to have one of those".

The thing that is so great about the 3rd Gen is that it still looks great today. And not in a retro way. I like older 4x4s as well but they look old. I feel our 3rd Gens have aged really well. Take a look at some other mid to late 90's suvs and they don't compare.
