Thanks for sharing that story. Luckily I've never had any catastrophic failure but i once let salesman drive a 370z back to the lot to show me what it could do. He sure ragged on it and i could see why some new cars on the lot have some problems, even with so few miles
When you said test drive from hell it reminded me of the time my wife and I test drove a Chevy a couple months ago (before we decided on getting only a 4Runner) and the salesman (who was probably close to 80) kept farting quietly. The sound may of been little but the stink wasn't. We didn't have the heart to say anything.
