The time has come

Well? Photos?

Ask and ye shall receive. Here's a couple in front of my buddy's house after the install and a bath

Sorry for the crappy cell pics, my digital camera's battery is shot and I need to buy a new one. Better pics coming tomorrow.

Just some info - front is definitely sitting higher than the rear but I like the look sorta. Will look better with larger tires on. Also it looks like my CV's are at a pretty good angle after the drop. After I get the alignment, it's gonna ride like a dream. I can already appreciate the improvement in ride quality thanks to the shocks and springs. Sweeeet:guitar2:

Thats pretty much what mine looked like, but mine was a bit more dramatic because of the 882's in the front. If you get the 890's in the rear you should be level. Darrick must have become confused about these springs.

I guess I really don't mind it. I did tell him that I wanted to be level, and his response was that 881's with top plates and 906's in the rear would be level, but they definitely aren't... visual proof of the final result is above. I feel like I got closer to 4 inches of lift in the front. Oh well.

To LINY, yeah... spacers in the front. Just the top plate ones though.

Nice job! The front is a little high for my tastes, but not terrible by any means. It's pretty dramatic going from the relatively low '02 stock suspension. Good to hear the ride improved too!

I'm saving my pennies...

Thanks for the replies guys. I dunno if I wanna mess with removing the spacers, maybe if it gets old quick I will take them out, but I'm still basking in the satisfaction of dinally having a lift haha :hungry:

My other option would be to swap my 906's with 890's but that would probably be further down the road

Nice looking lift, KellyJ! I can't wait to do the same myself (though I think I'll probably leave out the spacers). Question: what's the difference between the 906 and 890's for the rear coils?

Look for an old thread by Ron Helmuth, he spent a lot of time looking at the different spring options.

Without doing any research, I think the 890 is both longer than the 906 and has a stiffer spring rate (read: wont compress as much, therefore providing more lift). I'm sure about the spring rate, not positive on if its longer or not.

Okay, so (not to make this thread longer than it needs to be), but I got a quick question. I've spent the last bit of time researching all these coils for the front and back end and wanted to get y'alls opinion on which ones to get. From what I understand (and please correct me if I'm wrong)

Rear 906 coils are standard 2" lift
Rear 890 coils are standard 3" lift
Rear 891 coils are heavy duty 3" lift
Rear 892 coils are x-heavy duty 3" lift

So, I want a ride that will be normally not stiff and comfortable (I don't normally load down my 4Runner, and it is at times a daily driver when I'm not car-pooling with my wife). However, when I do go camping with it I load it up with maybe 50lbs of weight in the back but I also pull a pop-up camper weighing roughly 1 to 1.5 tons.

I want to have a level truck (for the most part) both when towing and not towing the trailer and am just kinda at a cross-point of which coils to order.. I'm thinking the 890's would be the best bet. What do y'all think?
